Hi Longborder yer I can't get my head round it too I think the ringing bit is only if you wanna deceive someone my logbook will probably say something like re shelled on such and such a date it is and always will be a robinhood and I have no intention of selling her

OK so it started like this ...... there was a diesel spill ,a manhole cover and a 400yr old wall!!!! and ended with me having a bent S7 so after speaking to GBS they say I can re shell my s7 into a zero quite legally as GBS rose from the ashes of robinhood and the factory offer this service and have done so! so armed with this advice I ask my insurer Flux who also say yer it's a kitcar do what you want !! So I phone the Dvla to ask them ( that's a short time of my life I'll never get back) and the wonderful lady I speak to also confirms that yes I can do this so in the very near future I'll be placing an order for a new race chassis I just still can't get my head around it !!

Hi no no ptfe used just screwed into block the gauge has 4 wires live earth lights and sender -the sender just one

Hi bought both gauge and sender from digital speedos and he knows he's stuff there's no earth to fit on the sender it just screws into the block with one wire up to the gauge one thing I have noticed is that there are two oil take offs on the zetec block one next to the oil filter and one about 8 inches further back that my sender screws into but ford has put there sender into the one next to the oil filter so maybe that's the reason for the high reading on the gauge. with two oil pressure takeoffs on the block maybe ford were thinking of turboing it from the factory

Hi yer 1 o clock is around the 5 bar mark and 5pm is the 7 so sounds about the same

Hi all ok I'm running a new 2.0 black top with say 1200 miles on her now anyway I nought a smiths flight oil pressure gauge and matching sender at Stoneleigh having installed the said items this weekend on a cold start the gauge moves to the 7 bar mark and stops as that's the highest level the gauge reads if left to warm up it sits around the 5bar mark with anything over idle the oil pressure increases back to the max mark and I wondered if any of yous have the same thing now I know these new engines have good oil pressure and it's not something I'm concerned about I'm just wondering if there is perhaps a gauge that reads say 9bar rather then the gauge sitting at max all the time

Hi all yes I agree another great weekend was had at RHOCAR but in the last five years I have seen Stoneleigh decrease in size year on year. walking round chatting to various people and stall holders there were a fair few saying this would be there last year attending/trading. I have never seen the place so empty -after speaking to the staff at the hotel they were saying that in the last few years they have gone from full capacity to having rooms available and un booked for the weekend. this is the great Stoneleigh that I look forward to all year maybe it needs better advertising then just the kitcar/car mechanical type magazines
