    Pillar Drill

Has anyone got a pillar drill local to Coventry I could pop over and borrow at any point? Need some straight holes drilling through 28mm aluminium that a wonky work bench and battery drill isn't going to do satisfactory lol. They're 4x 6.5mm dia holes straight through. Cheers
  4. Just to set the record straight....Mine only fell off with the help of a lovely kerb actually! Before that is was fine as per my blog post...after that I reused the damaged holes in a rush refitting and yes it fell off because I didn't redo it and sort it out properly lol. I will still be using the same method this time with the added fixings at the front and also better fixing strategy at the rear http://zachsgbszero.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/the-neglected-blog-catch-up-post.html Its in there briefly. but I used some angle to mount the front (minus any actual fixings for the diffuser, it just sat there held at the rear sides) Its under the car, if anyone sees it, they'll be more concerned you've run them over!
  5. http://www.jaf-fabrication.co.uk/ JAF Fabrication did mine for the Zero to my drawings. Baffled and done with a custom mounting plate for the sender came in at £210 delivered. Much cheaper than anywhere else and a pretty decent job too!
  6. Personally my laptop struggles to cope with 1080p footage from the GoPro when it comes to editing, 720p no problems. Eitherway I'm not looking for super 4K resolution from my videos, I'm more interested in some decent footage from various angles. To me, the £13 camera footage is perfect to start sticking cameras in risky places I wouldn't want to risk my GoPro falling off and getting lost. Even the SJ4000 camera at £50 would still be gutting to lose. I'd prefer to create a lower quality (not talking grainy and pixelated, just not HD) video of various action shots over a single view that is amazing 4k resolution.
  7. I'd say the go pro can do much better than I use it for, but I don't have the hardware to utilise it fully, however for the price its an acceptable drop in quality imo. I have found the external mic and extension under the bonnet or at the exhaust tip makes things much better so will be giving this camera a go with that
  8. Just ordered me one to drop on the front of my cars lol. As you say, much prefer to risk a £20 of camera/card combo instead of £300 worth of go pro lol
  9. Well a couple hours behind I'll hopefully reach Nefyn shortly after you all Just hope there's enough phone signal lol
  10. I'll be joining up late. I am aiming to leave Coventry no later than 13:00 so could possibly be at Rhug Farm Shop for 15:00 lol. Chances are I'll be meeting you all at the end destination. What is the plan from Rhug onwards? To the accommodation and meeting up for drinks in the afternoon/evening?
  11. I just had a quick google and they still seem to be plenty in supply for the Toyo Proxes R1Rs? I'm probably a fair few months off and will probably be next year I get a set of more track/soft compound tyres to try
  12. Good job I'm planning on burning through my Tr1s lol. Brand new on the Zero thought they were pretty decent tbh, however as they wore on they did seem to loose that grip and they only have a slight scrubbing on them! I don't exactly have a massive comparison portfolio either so might change that thought after trying some 888s or R1Rs later
  13. Of course, its been in a while....just not running lol. Just need a M14x1.5 tap I'm trying to borrow from work to clean up the sump plug thread and SuperJez has got me properly set off on the wiring so just need to keep working through it More than happy for anyone willing to lend a hand sorting wiring and fitting things together to come over and drink my tea lol. I'm planning on being flat out every weekend and a few evenings lol
  14. I'll be there.....still no car though but closer every time!
  15. I had this too, pack of peanuts was my weapon of choice and worked a treat. Since then I've been sure to keep my salt levels up for sporting activities and can usually feel them dropping as cramp starts creeping in.
  16. Got my old HP pump off the Zero when I had the 1.6 in there. Worked fine just unknown flow rate so got one I knew would be fit for the V6. Yours for all the electrical expertise you've provided lol
  17. None taken lol. For the power and fuel consumption there are enough better cars out there. Any excuse for an upgrade though
  18. Italian Alfa electrics it is then! haha
  19. Got my girlfriends petrol 1.2 Clio, W-reg with MOT until October. 84k miles, £400 Or I got my petrol 2.2 JTS Alfa Romeo 159, 66k miles, MOT Feb 2017, £5500 (you may be rich and this is still cheap for you lol) Its just not cheap to run returning 28ish mpg on a motorway run lol
  20. I'm amazed he could drive so fast carrying all the weight of his MASSIVE testicles.....
  21. I'll be there, also with a present for a lucky person Also I need to pick your brains again Jez lol, give you one guess why haha

    Q Plate

The 3 years no MOT is from the first registration date regardless of plate. My H-reg kit hasn't needed an MOT for 3 years.
  23. Well I'll be hoping to tackle it during the week and then over the weekend, would never turn down and extra pair of hands/someone with a clue to what they are doing lol (still want to try and make Castle Combe but looking more and more unlikely tbh)
