  1. Just registered. Looks good. Thanks.
  2. If your speedo under reads its illegal. A speedo can read exactly (which is hard to achieve) or read slightly high. Which means you will be driving a bit slower than what the speedo says and therefore be within the speed limit.
  3. If you are removing the prop shaft you could run the engine and work through the gears without any load in the drive chain.
  4. Just copied this of the facebook thingy. Its the only place I can see that gives the date as shown. Horsepower at the Hall - May Manifolds and Mufflers! 9 May at 09:00 in UTC+01 Doddington Hall in Lincoln, Lincolnshire
  5. They move it if it clashes with other events at the hall. see their web site. "horsepower at the hall" i think its called..
  6. 13th sounds good........don't think i'm working away next week.
  7. 1pm at trowel services M1. Weather its raining or not.
  8. Whats the point in having a car like these if you aint going to drive it

    Me Again

Have you got a scrap yard close to you. Should only cost a couple of quid i would have thought.
  11. Vernier pulley on my pinto for almost 13 years. Not moved yet!
  12. Yes----- we can all relate to that!
  13. We did go earlier last year and helped Phil with setting up!
  14. Missed your thread Dan before I started another, never mind. 1pm is okay by me, or any other time that suitable to everyone.
  15. Look on the bright side, if that had found its way through your problems could have been much greater.
  16. Last year those of us going down on the Saturday met at Trowell services on the M1. I suggest the same again for this year. Any thoughts about meeting times etc.
  17. Blockages, holes in diaphrams (I think that's how its spelt) bent needles etc. Good luck.
  18. Everything said by the guys previously is very sound advice. Its a great shame you can't make Stoneleigh as its by far the biggest and best kit car show. The number of Robin Hoods on show will be in the hundreds and every one is different.
  19. p.s plenty of examples will be at Stoneleigh for you to have a gander at. Just ask.
  20. Servo fitted in my S3A no problem with room/clearance . Also you wont need extra stopping power from rear discs. These cars are very light and the standard drums on the back are more than up to the job. I,m running a 2.1 pinto, fast cam and bike carbs and stopping is not a problem in fact its quite easy to lock up all four wheels if you hit the brakes too hard.
  21. I did a boiler inspection at the Tunnocks factory last year and was given a whole box of the things. Yum!
  22. I used to work at British Steel River Don site in Sheffield, now a much smaller company called Sheffield Forgemasters. One of the lathes in the South Machine shop was called the "100 foot". This based on the fact that the lathe bed was indeed 100 foot long. It had a drive motor at each end and the chucks were 10 feet in diameter. It may well be still there, it going on 30 years since I moved on.
