  1. Andi it was Saga insurance. Had the same trouble with AA recovery a few years ago. I had to go through my credit card company to get a response from them. They have promised to refund my money. Before renewal tell them NO AUTOMATIC RENEWAL jon
  2. I've changed to a new insurance company only to find the old one has automaticaly renewed my policy using my credit card details I gave them last year. I would have thought that this was theft or fraud but when the policy was taken out last year (in the small print it gives them the right to renew automaticaly). Because I have accepted last years policy, I have given them the right to take whatever they want from my credit card account which I cannot stop, unless I phone them well before expiry and say I don't want automatic renewal, My credit card company say I have given them permission to take it by accepting last years policy They also say it is causing a lot of trouble as more insurance companies are doing it. The insurance tried to charge me £50 to cancel HTH jon
  3. Use the small end of a cable tie to push the last part of the seal over the end and use lots of oil or grease Do not use a screwdriver or anything sharp as it will cut the seal, dont remove the sump HTH jon

  12. If you replaced a 5speed box with another 5 speed, the opposite side to where the cable goes in, is a top hat (dome), remove it. Inside the box is a plastic gear wheel, it will just lift out. Do the same to the new box and swop them I think there are 3 gear wheels, green, blue and black, each has a different number of teeth, which can alter the revs to the speedo. Make sure the top hat is tight and sealed when you refit If you have replaced a 4 with a 5 speed box you may need any one of the three. HTH jon

  17. Thanks Florin I should have tried that but its back together now. I think the mounting is angle iron across the chassis with a short piece bolted together to form a channel. and not a square tube like the other mountings. Which may be flexing.I thought I read ages ago somone else had this trouble jon
  18. Drivers side rear bushes on the top w/bone have had to be changed twice in 12months. I think its the mounting at fault. but the other side of the car is ok. Has anyone else had this problem and cured it. jon
