  1. And there I was thinking this was about wheel colour combinations. Both these frocks would clash with my shorts anyway!
  2. John, Have just done a quick google and found this, a similar problem to yours: http://www.xrtwo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=33505&start=0 It looks like his problem was a dirty earth on the coil pack. Hope it helps Al
  3. Hi Bob, If you want I can pop up (but not until the week end unfortunately), with my coil pack just to see whether the new one John purchased is working correctly. I don't know if it would fit, it's from a 2ltr blacktop. I'll pm you my mobile number as that will probably be easiest to contact me on. This would be a crying shame for John's beautiful car. Cheers Al

Snowball, can you post their contact details so Chris can give them a call
  5. I used a Halfords own battery drill for years until something went u/s with it. Replaced it with a De Walt 18v battery drill, but couldn't get on with it for some reason. So replaced the De Walt with an 18v Makita which I am more than happy with. Like Dan, I also have a Bosch mains drill as well and have had it for 20+ years and it's still going stong. Al, pm sent.
  6. Good news on the MOT Simon. My Sperspec also went straight through last month, but I had the emissions checked at re-mapped to pass. This was the only work my car required. PM Sent. Al
  7. Has Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen joined the club? First car with frilly wheel arches and leopard pint dashboard proves he has!!
  8. Would be a serious power bulge/air inlet scoop in the bonnet!!

    Le Mans2015

Hi Peter, The Manston Premier Inn is about 10 mins from me, but unfortunately I will be away that week otherwise i'd have offered to meet up with you and show you the only Royal Harbour in the country in Ramsgate. The Table Table restaraunt at the Premier Inn is not the best, the service is pretty dire to be honest. There is a good curry house in Minster, (called the Minster Tandoori - original eh?), or a 'local' pub with semi decent pub grub. If you head down Tothill Street (downhill) into Minster, they are both about a mile down the hill, if you fancy stretching your legs after your drive. Al

I hope the pond was frozen solid Bob, or is it a self righting inflatable toboggan? God forbid if we ever grow up
  11. Absolutely barking mad and totally awesome!! Don't know if you'll get it to pass the IVA noise test though  If you need some ballast for your tests, let me know, i'll happily volunteer!!
  12. Definitely looks plenty of fun! Buy it now £35K!!!!!
  13. Awesome project. Would love to hear/see this running!!
  14. Don't know whether mind bleach is that powerful! When I saw the title of the post, all I could think of was the film Carry On Screaming :D
  15. Sorry Al, can't help - I changed my T Series for a Zetec

Just remember that if the car is registered and road legal (MOT/Tax), and you have just purchased it, you will still need to buy insurance before you drive it back to NI.

Mike, If you want to make some as Chris suggests, I can draw around mine to give you a basic template to modify to suit your requirements. As Chris also states, you'll have better side vision and improved fit. It's one of the jobs on my 'to-do' list. Al
  18. Hi Richard, Hourly rate is c.£50 at BDE. It took a couple of hours. Hope this helps Al

    Pinto Upgrades

Hi, as Ken says, BD Engineering (01795 843980) are based just outside Newington on the A2. From Folkestone, head up the M20 and come off at Maidstone and head for the A249 towards Sheerness. Come off the A249 at the Rainham/Sittingbourne exit and head towards Rainham (left turn) through Newington. BD Engineering are about a mile past Newington 'centre' on the Newington North industrial estate. Give Andy a call onthe number above when you are ready - you'll be in good hands!
  20. I think John is running twin webbers, so he'll be there or thereabouts. But Johns car wins hands down on appearance - the pics are stunning! He'll be in good hands with Andy
  21. Thanks Bob. Andy at BD was impressed as well! He'd guessed at 150brake with the set up.
  22. It's a 2 litre blacktop Zetec with the GBS inlet plenum & single throttle body and Emerald K6 ECU running the GBS power map. Driving through the MT75 gearbox and 3.9 LSD
  23. That's what I thought - didn't think it would be that much! And to add to the smile factor, i've just had a call from he MOT station, the car went straight through Happy days
