Dave Mac in Coventry. It's a bit of a trek from Banbury but they're highly recommended. http://davemacprops.co.uk/
  3. Great turnout last night, thanks to everyone who came along. I think we ended up with 13 kits and 7 tin tops so obviously not everyone's mad about football. Nice to see a few new faces too and I hope that all club events this summer are blessed with decent weather and are well supported.
  4. Looks like we're on for a good turnout tonight.
  5. His first choice of plate wasn't available!
  6. Should still be an MOT fail http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/m1s06000302.htm The thing with registration plates it that you don't actually own them and the DVLA have the power to take back registrations that have been mis-represented. Some how I doubt they ever do.
  7. Better chance of being abducted by aliens that getting pulled for an illegal plate these days.
  8. I'm interested, but I don't eat mushrooms.
  9. OK, added a post to that thread and have corrected a spelling mistake no problem, Still seems available to edit too.
  10. First thing is you don't want to use Perspex, it's acrylic and scratches easily. You need to use polycarbonate - trade names include Lexan.
  11. Does it depend on which section of the forum the post is in?? Mick, do you have a post you can't edit - what section of the forum is it? I'll see if I've got a post there and whether I can edit it.
  12. Could be, but last year before I was an Area Sec I was able to do the same thing on the thread for last years Wales run.
  13. I'm still happily editing my first post in my Wales weekend thread (updating attendees).
  14. I can edit my initial post in a three page threaf without any problems.
  15. Tried editing one of my posts and it works ok but some time ago I had a similar thing to you and my posts wouldn't edit. Have you logging yourself out and back in again to see if it re-sets?

    V5 Arrived Today

You can get plates made up from the V5 but you need to take some id with you (photo driving license).
  17. The England team visited an orphanage in Brazil. "Isn't it sad to see their faces when they have ho hope and are full of dispair" said little Jose aged 5
  18. Rooney has said to Roy Hodgson that he doesn't know what's best for him, left, right or in the middle. Roy replied "for f**** sake Wayne, pick a seat and get on the plane"
  19. To be honest, I don't think it'll make much difference. I'm not planning on watching on Tuesday night now either!!
  20. Next Wednesday, 25th June, 7pm onwards, Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL https://maps.google....ingdom&t=m&z=15 Entrance to pub car park is off the A452 Chester Road heading North 50 yards from the island. Everyone welcome, see you there.
  21. Will be good to see you there, best set youselves an early alarm!!!
  22. If it ran fine 2 months ago, what other than the head gasket has been changed since then? The cause could be many things, knowing what's been changed narrows things down a bit. The first 2 things I'd be checking are that the fuel tank is vented (probably through the cap) and the float levels are correct in the carb. Bypass the electric pump, for the time being you shouldn't need it. At the point that it cuts out, can you remove the air filter and look down inside the carb while you operate the throttle to see if the accelerator pump is squirting fuel into the carb? If it is, then you at least have some fuel left in the carb rather than it being completely empty.
  23. Oops, my mistake, details were pasted from last year's thread (which were incorrect). Correct contact details are as follows (and updated in post 10): Graeanfryn Farm B and B and Camping Morfa Nefyn LL53 6YQ 01758 720455
  24. From what I remember, the sytem we used just has annual visual inspections rather than a re-treatment after a set period. Generally modern cars offer far better corrosion protection due to the useof zinc coated panels and improvements in electrophoretic coating prior to paint. However, effective E coat coverage cannot always be guaranteed due to air pockets and the thickness between adjacent panels in places like the pillars and sills. In these instances. additional cavity waxes can be useful. The biggest corrosion risk on a modern car will always be poorly repaired accident damage.
