    Sierra Brakes

My Hood's donor was a 1984 Sierra and I recently used these:
  8. I fitted AVO to my series 3, cost £205 direct from AVO in 2005. Much better than the original RHE supplied ones. PA160/105 (16" open 10.5" closed) Stem Top Poly Bottom (0.5" bolt) 1.9" Spring 10" free length 175lb
  9. I have a 90 deg fitted: which gives this:
  10. Add Helen and myself to the list. Cheers, Nigel.
  11. They took less than a week as they were posted within the UK, not Hong Kong. Glad to be of help.
  12. The bushes are made of rubber and are quite flixible, they can be squashed by your fingers: The 2mm was easily trimmed off the width using a Stanley knife:
  13. Yes they will fit, I have had to trim 2mm off each bush so that they are a tight fit which will mean fitting a washer on each side to keep the bushes in place. At that price I bought 20 to keep me going for a few more years.
  14. I have the same on the front of my Series 3. I have replaced the bushes several times over the last 17 years as they never last long, the shocks still work OK though. I have just bought some of these on ebay to try: http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1497.l2649 The listing states location as Hong Kong but they were actually posted in the UK.
  15. Great weather and a superb lunch. Nice to see the Notts crew joining in.
  16. It is an S7, the Series 3 and 3A have a wider body that covers the ends of the rear suspension beam, yours has covers: I have a pdf copy of the S7 build manual which might help you, there are some images of the front suspension. PM me with your e-mail address and I will send you a copy, it is 16MB in size.
  17. Thanks Al for another great venue, good weather, good company and a great flypast by the Lancaster. Nigel.

  20. This is how I did mine: 4 bolts through the bulkhead: Bearing on plate with bearing bolt heads welded to plate: Mounted from inside foot well: All nuts tightened with steering column is situ. Hope this gives you some help. Nigel.
  21. How about fitting an adjustable thermostat instead of replacing the fixed temp one. Example: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4614201a3d Nigel.
