  1. Bob is spot on for every kg of diesel fuel burnt 1.38 kg water vapours are made, plus 3.106 kg CO2 is also produced
  2. My advice when it comes to MIG welders is to buy the best you can afford and for what your going to use it for, hobby MIG's are fine for the odd job that you need to do but if your going to use them like I do then you will need something more up to the job. At the moment I'm running a SIP 181 DP along with 20% CO2/Argon mix from Adams gas rent free unlike BOC http://www.adamsgas....t&view=category When it comes to welding masks, some of the ones you get in the kits with the welders are a waste of space and not worth risking your eye sight with!! A good non auto mask can be got from around £10 -£15 and always use a clean plastic anti-splatter lens in front of the tinted lens as they can brake in your face if you don't. As for auto masks I think I've seen them for sale for as little as £36 in Toolstation.

  8. How do you get away with building things in the kitchen Richard????? SWMBO will not allow me within a foot of our new kitchen table with a spanner in my hand let alone build anything in there. So I'm stuck out in the shed. still its a fab bit of engineering you have made there
  9. Had the same sort of thing on a ford a couple of months ago. Car kept throwing different fault codes like no tomorrow, first it said catalytic convertor was gone switch off and restart then the laptop said crankshaft sensor was shot but the car was running fine. After a bit of head scratching I found it to be the multi plug on top of the gearbox was rusty as hell when I pulled it apart, carefully took it apart cleaned it out gave a good soak in good old WD40 left it for an hour to do its stuff reassembled the plug, cleared the codes and the car is now good as new. Why oh why do these felt tip fairies put multi plugs, fuses and the such like in stupid places heaven know

    Engine Oil In Coolant

Ford Transits and Transit Connects suffer from this with there oil coolers. The Ford TSB repair is to renew the oil cooler then flush the system with Persil biological washing liquid (other brands available) with clean water 20/80 mix and run at 2000 rpm for 10 mins then drain. This process may need to be repeated up to 5 times to ensure the system is free from oil residue. A final flush with just clean water should be done to remove the traces of washing liquid and then renew every rubber hose on the coolant system as the oil will make then swell When your happy fill the system with a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water
  14. Loads of different bumper repair kits on the market ranging from a few pounds to into the hundreds. I think the kit used on Wheeler Dealers was a Kent kit. When I worked in a bodyshop we used the 3M system http://solutions.3m..../PlasticRepair/ and yes it is easy to used just like in the video also have used this kit a few weeks ago on a fusion front bumper http://www.amazon.co...r/dp/B00DHI4TV8 but you do have to work quick with it as you get about 60 seconds before it goes off HTH you Peter
