38mm take-off spigot for the bypass valve tack welded into position........it has a small collar welded at the end to give the spigot a 'flared' end to prevent silicon pipes from popping off

 

 

Next job for the inlet pipe is to silver solder all of the flange joints and spigot joint to ensure no leakage and it makes the joint lines invisible when the whole assembly is painted.

So next I have split the lump off the bottom of the throttle body and made a blanking plate to replace it.

 

 

 

Next job was to run a bead of silver solder into the joints of the inlet pipe to neaten things up and then polish back.

 

I've also added the 3rd fixing point at the bottom of the main bracket....

 

So my next mission is to secure the throttle body end of the inlet pipe to the block.....luckily there is a handy threaded boss in the block right next to the throttle body....

Mission complete....said bracket made and fitted.....just need to dress back the welds...

Going to need a trial fit in the car soon to measure up for the outlet plenum.

I've got the throttle bracket to make and then general tidying and then I'm all worked up until we've had the trial fit
