hi all

quick question does anyone know where i can get a cylinder head skimmed and new valves fitted in the leicester,derby,nottingham areas tried google but not coming up with much

Auto services of Doncaster were the people who built the bottom end of the engine for me.

They will have no problem doing anything you need to the head. They may even give you a short tour of the garage, they usually have a few interesting cars in there.

i had mine skimmed at a place in leicester theres a alfa romeo garage think its on needham street in a little workshop in the same building is a guy called dave he sorted mine

the mainfold that came with the twin 40s came off a 1700 is there any differance between that and 2.0l pinto just asking if i need to buy new manifold

1700 is a bored out Xflow

Pinto is a totaly diferent engine, there never was a 1700 pinto.

The pinto was made in 4 sizes 1300 (very rare), 1600 (a couple of variations), 1800 and 2000.

Some aftermarket shops bore out the pinto to 2100.

So you need a new manifold.
