Mine is fitted to the upper cross member that the radiator fits too (sits under the radiator). Then just 2 plastic hoses (look like braided ones) go between the pump and hose. Nice to see the fluid in the hoses. Mine is leaking from somewhere - and access makes it hard to get to! Ed

I have a power steering pump bottle.....good for topping up as I loose power steering fluid. Some people have opened up the powersteering pump and cut the vanes, then refilled the pump housing (to keep the bearings lubed) My mod for 2016 is to remove the entire unit (power steering and water pump) and replace with electric. Helps with those lovely summer days we get and traffic!

If it's the part I am thing of, mine is just some 90 degree angle steel. I had to cut down, shape and drill holes. So anything will do!

You have the pipe over your rocker cover.,....., I don't with my river superspec!!

I find it far more effective to lean over the top of the window with a bottle of water and pour water does tend to run up my arm though :S

on my to do list: replace fuel tank, create bigger boot. move washer bottle to boot! extend passsenger footwell so far i have brought thw non return valve for washer bottle....

Yes, should be a rubber hose coming out of a hole to fill it up. Your passenger footwell may be quite short because of it! Ed

All the west driving after that point looks heart thumping! Have to ask, what's the noise, timing makes me think turbo dump?

Nope mine isn't Q, and doesn't have the emissions on the V5.

Be interested in how you do mount your exhaust when you do? Do you have a link to an example of the flexi pipe, never seen one! What were the symptoms of your dead cat / silencer? Cheers for the feedback on the bobbin - makes sense. Ed

Hi All, resurrecting an old thread, but I had my rubber fail last week !! The top metal is glued to the rubber, and that's where it failed. I think this is off an engine mount? any idea which one? I was thinking about drilling through the rubber, and then running a threaded old which is loosely fixed (using a loc nut) Thoughts? Cheers Ed

(ps - the super spec has a cat then back box and that is surrounded by the stainless which is riveted to make it look good? I think GBS still sold the parts?)

How does yours get MOT'd? Mine soars past the HC test, and I think I don't need the cat to pass as it's been classed as an old vehicle.

Hi, I don't suppose anyone lives in the haslemere area, and has a 100mm 6mm nut, bolt and some washers I can beg steal borrow? It may be 8mm but it's too hot to get near and I burnt myself twice tieing it back on with wire at the side of the road!!! Ta ! Ed

I miss the days when trading standards would speak with the company and that would very quickly sort most of these problems. Shame they had their funding cut so much. A little social warfare may get Kwikfit to change their mind via twitter / facebook. I wouldn't give up yet, at least a letter or 2 sent recorded threatening court action? Any one on the forum qualified to verify the state of the bearing? Can say you have consulted an expert.

Unfortunately you are under contract with the supplier, and thus rely on the suppliers terms and conditions for cancellation terms. Only way out is if you can prove that the holiday isn't as described and thus the supplier is in breach of contract (not easy to do before the holiday). Other option is to see if you can re sell on the holiday - worth checking with the supplier first though - say you want to give it to a friend to use.
