    Oops Off Topic

on most BMs if you remove the drivers front wheel and arch liner you can put your hand on the bonnet cables and give um a tug to open the bonnet
  6. Also donated - thoughts are with you and family. My dad had same thing.

    Earth Points

I also run all my earths into batches eg front of car say lights and indicators to one point then use a stainless set screw and nut with a cable large enough to handle the power back straight to the battery.

    Mondao Zetec Wiring

Ahhh thank you. Just one more to go.
  11. Hi everyone I'm trying to wire my black top on the ford original ecu ( cos I'm bored !) Now on the injections there is a small loom that does the 4 injections now the loom is tagged BE And I have 2 plugs I can't figure out. I have the four injectors the throttle the water temp and cam sensor But there's 2 plugs one has 2 wires and the other has 1. These two connections are taped together if some one can help on any of this I would be truly grateful. Indeed if someone has a early mondao and can tell me what plugs and wire colours are on the plugs on the engine sensors even better TA
  12. Other option if you don't fancy fitting an electric pump is try fitting a fuel one way valve in fuel line between pump and carb
  13. i keep the doors on to stop the wind and bought a length of the large gray pipe lagging at B and Q and roll the roof around it and bungie it on spare wheel you can see how it looks on issue before last of boys in hoods (yippie BEV made front cover)

  17. Hi. I'm running the GBS plemum and asking how many of you run with the fuel reg connected on this plemum I know most of you run emerald and I run webber alpha but my reg is connected and after connecting a vac gauge the vac in the intake is nearly off the scale at idle and at the idle mark on the gauge while cruising - the pressure in the rail must be at least 20psi lower then designed by ford to keep the spray pattern clean. I know we can map to get a good AFR etc but was purely wondering about what others are doing
  18. Just had a quick look. It's a very good web site It certainly stands out. Very good job.

  21. Hi my one ive put through the panel - you can buy thermo sleves that the cable runs through but i doubt you would be able to attach it to the manifold for neatness without it affecting the sensor readings even if purley to the extremly radiant heat

    I'm A Lucky Bunny

Ha ha every time I go out in my S7 I hear something bounce around the bottom of the car and wonder is it a stone or has something now fell off. - it's all part of running a kit car. It's why lotus got such a bad rep. The people that bought them thought that they were as good as production cars so never checked them and wondered why bits fell off!!!
  25. Can I ask has your astra got air con. If so check the last fuse on the right hand side of fuse box where your right knee is when sitting in the car. If this is blown you get a low coolant warning light even though most bottles never had the sensor fitted. Pls let me know your findings
