Take it for a run and when it gets really hot stop and check top and bottom hose temperatures with the heat gun, with the engine ticking over so the water is still circulating.

How do you know that the new gauge is reading correct? See if you can get hold of an infer-red temperature gun to see what that says.

I still think it would have been easier to take the nose off to fit it,and i hope you realise it is going to take you a full roll of Duck Tape to put that back together again

Does anyone know the length of the rear Sierra subframe mounting bolt that goes through the floor under the seat, mine are just about worn away by encounters with sleeping policemen. I could take them out to measure but I don't think I would be able to get the nut back on.

Just a gentle NUDGE in case anyone has forgotten when the last Wednesday of the month is, and where you should be on that night.

Chances are that they will be Cortina Track Control arm inner bushes if the kit was an upgrade from the original Cortina set-up. The bottom wishbones Don't look wrong from the photo so I would try just the top first.

Looks to me that the top arms are on the wrong sides, the geometry seems all wrong.

If it was my engine I would fit the correct valve oil seals, you know the old ones were no good, for the price of a head gasket and seals and a couple of hours work you would find if that was your problem. Or strip the engine to find it may or may not have a ring fault I know which I would try first. Don't buy the cheap oil seals from ebay get some proper ones!

Have you realized that the w/e of 15th April is Easter this year- I was organizing an event for that w/e and wondered why the prices were so high.

The car was sold to Germany in the middle of last year.

We don't need any extra forms of communication we have all we need here on the Club site, what we need is some-one to communicate with. Our Area Sec. seems to have lost all interest, or he would have joined in on here. We still have members who are keen to keep the Group running so it would be a shame to let it fade away. Alan
