pcd is 82mm by my measurements and there are 6 fixings. It hasn't a horn button because I have remotely fitted horn jack so that quick release wheels are easier to use. Boss was taken off an existing Sierra wheel as had trouble getting a reasonably priced centre that included the locking ring as this was my secondary isolation device for the IVA. I only bought this for the IVA as it was a guaranteed approval and came without the boss for the same price as selling. If determined to keep centre push either Brumster' suggestion or revert to the original once IVA approved.

    8 inch rear brakes

Hi i am looking for 8” rear brake assembly to fit Cortina axle please. I have drums and back plates but no furniture at all. I bought some used Sierra 9” assemblies but they don’t fit on the axle end if they are of any use to anyone? Thanks Vaughan.

Good news - I had the Mountney wheel and Westfield's (old) solution uses the same - a Mountney wheel with a rubber pad over the centre. I was at Stoneleigh and they had the pad for sale, snapped it up, fitted over my Mountney wheel centre, passed IVA. So I can recommend that route for you - just get the pad, pop it on your existing wheel, job's a good'un

Not too bad. Got a few hours on the car over the weekend. Small set back as one of the fluid reservoir levels is faulty and i didnt have enough connectors for the wiring. All ordered up , but the to do list is looking like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14mVhnOm936r2Zb-E5lbdvrVQJW7Z6dCZ/view?usp=sharing See ya Wednesday for the next update.

Hi Andi, I went to this event with SKCC a lot of good cars, the NWKCOG was also there. Needs a few more auto jumble stores but still good. Maybe next year.

A number of cars passed by fitting the original sierra stearing wheel, this made it a bit tight getting in and out but was a certain pass.

I used an old Westfield steering wheel which has the whole of the centre padded and was a guaranteed pass for that situation. As your picture this would be a sure fails as there is too much hard surfaces. I have the Westfield steering wheel for sale £25 + £5 delivery, it is 300mm diameter, black, in perfect condition and I had adapted it to fit the standard shaft of a Sierra. Alternatively you could make a rubber covering for the wheel and as long as it looks the part and is firmly in position it would cover the IVA requirements.

Has anyone any thoughts about the legability of the steering wheel in modern day IVA regs? I have been told that the sharp edges will cause it to fail.

We have decieded to go for a four point racing type harness. The fittings on the rear are attatched to a hidden stainless bar that goes the length of the rear of the car. (See pic) The roll bar was also modified. The front fitting was simply held on by one u bolt, and was little more that a decoration. We had two feet fabricated and welded to the floor of the car. It is now bolted through the floor. With the rear of the roll bar fitted to the same strengthening bar that the seat belts are fitted to it is solid and hopefully will please the IVA.

Thanks for the advice on the shocks. We have listened and decieded to keep the sierra main springs and fit a pair of shorter capri shock's. The advantage is that the shock's are now upright so should work better. We had new upper brackets made for the upper mounts that could be bolted to the strong side bar. (see Attached photo.) This also gives us the option for coil overs in the future. (see pic) We also had to have fittings made for the lowerer shocker mounting, Again see pics.
