The purpose of this post is to explain how we use your personal data and how you can opt out if you wish. The member database is a password-protected Excel file on my computer. Only my deputy and I have access to it (my deputy in case I go under a bus). The database contains name, address, membership number, expiry date, e-mail and forum username. The old timers amongst us will remember we used to sell humorous stickers for the back of the car. Well, the good news are that they are back. These two are available: Our plan is to sell them at Malvern and Newark, for £1 each. However, for those who can't attend the shows or want some now, we are selling them for £1.50, to allow for postage charges. Just go the 'Store' option on the blue banner and select what you want. When I was thinking of volunteering to be the Club Membership Secretary, I initially did not know what was involved and had to talk to my predecessor. As a result, I thought it might be useful to produce some Terms of Reference for the Club Committee Members and Area Secretaries so that any future volunteers could get an idea of what was involved and the time required. Hi all I'm a new member here who is finally getting a GBS zero after many years of wanting a 7 style car. The car is part finished, very nearly there and I'm sure I'll have many questions as things progress. Looking forward to exploring the group more and hopefully getting along to some shows and meets. I'm hoping to get a date for IVA in August to give me even more motivation 😁. The cost of a ticket for someone displaying in their group is £9 for the weekend. Camping also available on site for anyone fancying it, plenty of B&B type accommodation also near by. Hi All I have signed up to this club in the hope of finding someone who would be willing to share a .map file with me. I am troubleshooting a hot misfire and suspect the current map as at the root of my problems. Trying to solve this on my own before the more expensive nuclear option of a rolling road retune. The engine is a 1.4 K-Series engine (non VVC) with Jenvey Throttle Bodies and Pico Fuel Injectors. Not expecting to find anyone with an identical spec but would appreciate any .map files for an Emerald K6 ECU. Ian Bunce (Derby)

Someone bought a blue Robin Hood from ebay on 1st April. It was sold by my father without my permission for £2800 and to top it off, he did not even send me the money. So say we had a falling out would be an understatement. If anyone knows the buyer and they wish to sell it to me for a small profit, I would be very happy to do so. I owned the vehicle for 13 years. It has a blue No.2 pool ball gear shift handle and a small placard to the right of the steering wheel covering a hole in the dash where the old mechanical choke used 2B (sorry, I just had to!) The placard reads 2 Litre Pinto 'Tubey'. The reg is E769 EDV. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. Rob

My gold Superspec has been SORNed for the best part of a year due to a common issue of a clutch cable snapping. As they don’t make those anymore it took a long time to fit th bits to get a much longer fiat one fitted but I’m happy to say she’s ALIVE, MOTed (not even a single advisory) and back on the road. I’m hoping to enjoy some sun it in for the next couple of months but sadly I will also be putting her up for sale as my family car is aging and I will need to move both on to get a new car for the growing family. I’ll make a for sale post when I can bring myself to do it! In the meantime I hope to see you at some upcoming events

Hi All A few years ago I created an informal group of Superspec owners. The intention was to pool our experiences and expertise to help other owners. Because, unlike other models, our cars were identical (not true as it turned out) so we could post something in the knowledge that it would apply to all the other members. Over time (13 years in my case) we have collected a huge amount of documentation relating the model. In it's heyday we about 35 cars on the list, which was good, as we think only about 50 were ever sold. Over time cars have been sold and we haven't been able to track down the new owners so our numbers have shrunk. I now have only about 20 on my distrib…

Tomorrow we will be upgrading the forum software from V4 to V5. This a major change and you will find the User Interface is different. All the information is there but probably in a different location. I am very grateful to Johnathan Wright (j0nniboi) who has been helping me with designing the User Interface so it looks as similar as we could to the existing one. There are 2 changes that we have been unable to change. The first is that you now log on using your email address rather than your username. The password remains unaffected. I have bought a Robin Hood V8 its registration is E904DMA the first owner had it 16 years followed by the second who had it 7 years it’s black and Stainless steel and a 3a model I believe. It has a Rover EXP engine which is a factory experimental engine. It’s in a very poor state at the moment and needs a lot of time and work to get it sorted. It’s missing its radiator and has a lot of its fueling system removed. If anyone knows of any of its previous owners that could offer any help on the car’s history I would really appreciate it. thanks in advance Chris
