    Exhaust Noise

I used Acousta-Fil when I repacked my silencer. This is in flexible compressed sheet form that expands when heat hits it to fill the silencer with the correct density. The supplier gave the correct amount for the size of silencer. Problem is I can't find where I bought it from!

    2B Wishbone Suspension

I had my front suspension blasted and powdercoated as well, came up looking like new. Just make sure the powdercoater knows his job and masks off the threads and holes for bushes. (One I found didn't want to mask the bores of brake calipers, he said he just pointed the gun away from the bores and I could clean them up afterwards!)

    Webber On 1800 Ohc

Have you checked the condition of the float shut off valve? I've had more than one that's not shut the fuel flow off correctly.

Have you checked that the choke is actually off? Also check float level. What fuel pump are you running?
  5. I did have a book with quantities in but it went in the bin! This site has quantities for different fibreglass materials, it may help https://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/topic/estimating_quantities
  6. I miss being able to use the Trichloroethylene vapour degreaser at work until it got banned. Now I use Gunk or similar.
  7. I thought it was jimmytwobikes car, that's why I put it up
  8. Saw this on eBay : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Robin-Hood-2B/142916597435?hash=item21467e36bb:g:5PQAAOSwhUtbXI7o Not another member giving up?
  9. When I rewired my car I used a midi type 80 amp fuse
  10. As a temporary measure I used a speedo app on my wife's phone. Worked well but could have a slight delay depending (I believe) on satellite coverage
  11. My gauges don't need a stabilised supply as it's built into each gauge. The old Ford gauges did need a stabilised supply.
  12. Mine's the same as Nigel's as well
  13. Looking at the photo of your bracket it looks like the lower hole is the correct one as the threads are clean and shiny where the original bolt must have protected them.

    Zetec Rattle

At first I was going to suggest a small-end bearing may be the cause but couldn't see how it could be on a low mileage engine. But then looked at the sump pickup photo. If it were my engine I would be concerned that it had insufficient oil flow/pressure because of the pickup clearance issue and that would cause all sorts of problems.
  15. I mounted the rad and fan at the front of the Monocoque beam on my 3A, the fan fits on the rear of the rad. The nosecone still has a mesh grille to protect the rad from stones etc. I've put boat vents in the side of the bonnet to aid extraction
  16. If your wheels are different ET then check you can get full lock without anything fouling. I had to fit 12mm spacers and longer studs to stop mine fouling the tie bars.
  17. Try a body shop supplies place. A decent one should be able to colour match your panels and mix the paint for you.
  18. M12 x 1.5 tuner nuts on mine. As said before check if taper or flat
  19. There used to be loads of these on eBay but no more. You may end up having to buy something like these and painting them. They do different widths. Ebay 263794112838

    Bmw Z4

We had a 2 litre version which was great. The 2.5 must be superb! Go for it!
  21. Went to this on Sunday. Great place with lots to see. Plenty of cars, we were number 305. Weather was good which was a bonus. Followed Graham in and we were parked in the metalwork safari field just behind the hippos! Had my 2 minutes of fame being interviewed about the car and made sure I promoted Rhocar!
  22. Going to try and make it to Oswestry tomorrow
