  1. Rescued me a few times, always good service, but renewal costs are ridiculously high. Think I might try someone else next. Nick

    Cranking Amps

Be sure your starter's ok. Mine's always been a little slow on cranking, until it would crank no more, borrowed a starter and it now fires up better than ever. Going to buy a new starter soon. Nick
  3. I've watched this thread for a while and all I see from others is friendly advice about not advertising something that could be illegal or dangerous (please note "could") on an open forum. Everybody has broken the law whilst being in control of a vehicle, some more than others. You seem to have thrown your teddy out, but it is hard to read anyone's meaning in text. I hope you will enjoy the banter on here, and enjoy your car more. As an aside, I built my Robin Hood because I've wanted to build my own car for a long time and liked the idea of stainless steel. Took me year longer than I planned and 15% more money, but it's mine... and I built it. Nick

    Very Nearly

Mine's taxed all year round, not that I get value for money though. Might have done 50 or 60 miles this year (40 of those on good Friday), was hoping to get out for an hour or 2 today, but it's just started snowing here. Nick
  5. Beer it is then.... Thanks Nick
  6. Replied late last night ☺ I'll have it please. Can you bring to next meet? Or if not we can arange when I can pop over to yours to collect. How much do you want for it? Or is payment in beers preferable Thanks Nick
  7. Thursday evening I fitted a borrowed starter motor which proved my theory that mine was extremely tired. (Thanks Phil) So this afternoon I thought, sun's out...let's go for a drive, which meant I found out the hard way that a spare tyre I have in the garage had been moved whilst fitting starter motor. Result... ripped rear arch. That was less than 24hr between fixing it and breaking it, still had a great 40 mile run out though. Nick Ps anyone got a spare 2b passenger side wheel arch? Just the outer GRP bit, prefer blue

    Gbs Coffee Morning

Looks like I missed the busy time, saw you leaving Mick. Great to catch up with a few friends before Stoneleigh. Nick

    Dimensions

In 2004 when I bought my kit, the 2b had sliding pillars and mild steel chassis, where the 2b plus had wishbone front suspension and stainless chassis. Upgrades were available of course, so you may find sliding pillars and stainless, etc. Other years may be different. HTH Nick
  10. Depends on how a 2b is built as to how much room there is. I drove a 2b before mine was on the road and my knee turned the steering when I changed gear, but mine has loads of room. But I did build it for me. You could try lifting the wheel/column. Nick
  11. I always write on the reminder the date of payment, then when the Missus asks if I've taxed the car I can sort of prove it!! HTH Nick
  12. I'll be there, maybe dinner with the Missus 1st. Nick
  13. Got a pass, if the weather isn't too bad. Nick

    Bonnet

There's 2 options in my signature pics. 1st is standard bonnet bulge supplied with kit, 2nd is a Mitsubishi L200 bonnet scoop reversed. HTH Nick
  15. Depending on dates, I can come and find spanners and stuff. Never fitted bike carbs etc. but am happy to look over shoulders and assist where I can. Nick
  16. Thanks Mick, we're both just a bit under the weather. See you all next month. Nick
  17. Sorry we missed this one, we're both a bit ill. See you all next month. Nick

Just done my renewal with no problems. Can't suggest a solution for you though, sorry. Nick
  19. I was wondering who is pinky and who is perky..... then realised I don't want to know or even think about it. Nick

    Rear Wheel Bump Steer

What tyre pressure are you running? Mine calmed down a lot when I changed the rear coil overs to gas. Nick
  21. If you get any spare stock at mates rates, give me a shout. Lol Nick
  22. On my 2009 yaris the drivers side headlight bulb is easy to get at, but the passenger side is a real pain. There's a small fuse box in the way which is bolted in before the wing is fitted, there's space for it to be an inch further back which would make bulb replacement a 5 minute job instead of 2 hours! Nick
  23. Depends on the year. 2004 when I got my kit, the standard 2b had sliding pillar suspension and mild steel, the plus was supposed to be a complete kit with all stainless and wishbones at the front. HTH Nick P.S. you could add stainless to the standard 2b as an option
