Not driving I work on the car in the pits. Last year we finished 6th in the national hillclimb championship the car was a Force pc with a 1300 hayabusa plus turbo giving 450bhp it took 3 years development to get that! This year we have a Gould with a 3.5 litre Nicholson Mclaran giving around 850bhp. Testing is producing some very good times etc.first competitive events are Prescott and Craigantlet in Northern Ireland the end of April.

I'll be there car number 6.

I have Caterham S3 arms and blades pre bent. It's as if they were made for it! Had them off eBay £15 pair of arms inc. Wipers. Nothing to adjust out of box straight on car. Most parts fit off the S3 and are good quality.

Dave I have a members pass and a guest pass for all events at Shelsley. Next 2 are 18th & 19th July Classic Nostalgia event or 15th & 16th August British National Hill Climb Championships. Let me know if any of these dates your free for we could meet up there or if I don't go you could have both passes. I will be busy working on the single seater in the nationals the car crashed there a few weeks ago 137mph into the bottom S. I'm told the August event is the 110th anniversary of the event and the will be air displays etc. Regards Adrian

I currently have Webcon Alpa on my Zero with matching throttle bodies no complaints but running Motec on race car. Motec that good I'm considering changing over to this on the Zero.Endless tweaks available on Motec maps and information downloading easily done over mobile network remotely adjustable. Have at the Motec before you buy others you will be surprised.

Had a renewal quote from Adrian Flux of £132 fully comp limited to 3000 miles with legal cover included. I rang A Plan after seeing posts they gave me a quote for £108 for same cover but with an agreed value of £10,000, they wanted another £15 for legal cover = £123. l rang Adrian Flux told the I wanted to cancel the policy. They asked why etc. They then quoted £107 fully comp, limited to 3000 miles, including legal cover and an agreed value of £10,000. It pays to get a second quote. Thanks for A Plan post made me have a look and I got better insurance cover for £25 less. £107 Adrian Flux!!

Just replaced my master cylinder escort mk5 there were 3 choices only way to confirm which one was to remove the cylinder and measure the bore they all look the same from the out side. The one I used FBM4072 on ebay it has a 23.8mm bore. Steve Next breckfast club meet at Shelsley walsh hill on 12/4 there is a breakfast club meet at Prescott hill climb on 19/4. First race meeting at Prescott on 25/4, first race meeting at Shelsley on 2/5. We are testing the car for the last pre season shake down last weekend in March. Tests so far car is much quicker than last season few engine management gremlins been sorted, now delivering over 450bhp. Trouble is everyone else is reporting the same with their cars, loads of sand bagging!!

Steve go down to Droitwich auto electrics they will test the alternator on or off the car and tell you what's wrong for free. I used them a couple of weeks ago Great service they charged me £35 to refurbish the alternator.
