  6. Just pulled out of my 2B, 3.62 7" open diff, push in drive shafts, rear hubs, drum brakes. Black powder coated rear beam and suspension arms. Arms have urethane bushes fitted, beam has plates welded in for solid front mounts (not the big rubber Ford jobbies). Brakes had new cylinders, shoes hoises, pipes and adjusters fitted. Been in my car 4 years so some dirt and marks but still looks pretty tidy. Getting rid because I'm swapping to rear discs and an LSD. Not sure what it's worth but lets say £125 before I stick it on Ebay. Collect from Tamworth (ideally asap cos it's a bit in the way). I can pull the arms off to make it easier to transport and I'll even help you load it in your car / van.
  7. Steve, I'm off work next week but if you give me a sketch on Wednesday night I'll get one of our CAE guys at work to run it through their FEA software.

  9. If I hadn't, someone else would've.
  10. Will the MX5 owners please form an orderly queue.
  11. It's what's underneath that counts!
  12. I had a set of injectors cleaned for my Audi V8. Think it was about £150 and as well as ultrasonic cleaning them, the replaced the gauze filters and o rings in them and provided before and after flow reports for each injector. 2 were leaking and were down on flow beforehand and it seemed to be money well spent.
  13. Blimey, you guys are going to be able to meet in the phone box outside at this rate.
  14. Better on the garage floor now that the side of the road later. After all your bad luck last year you deserves a trouble free trip.
  15. Syria, let's see how they like it.
  16. I've weighed up both sides of the argument and I've decided to vote OUT. Now I'm looking forward to the IN campaigners resorting to calling me a racist because is seems the main way they want to get their point over.
  17. If it's a hydraulic switch (bolted in to a Tee Piece or a 4 way) it'll leak when you remove it and you'll need to bleed the brakes.
  18. What's it registered as? Could be a headache if it's missing any paperwork and DVSA need to get involved.
  19. No, they just look better. That's why most car with big wheels look like they've got penny washers for discs (or worse still, drums on the back)
  20. Presumably the sensor coil is soldered to the board? You'd think they'd solder the pins at the same time?
  21. Next Wednesday, 24th February, 7pm onwards, Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL https://maps.google....ingdom&t=m&z=15 Entrance to pub car park is off the A452 Chester Road heading North 50 yards from the island. See you there.
  22. You may need an extra shaft and joints in the column to get it more to the side of the engine bay, but it'll need additional support. Having added an additional shaft to my column (oo eer missus), I'd suggest you look to modifying the manifold first as this may be easier (and probably cheaper) and only change the steering if you really have to. Adding the extra shaft, joints and support bearings has cost me close to £200.
  23. Echo Keith's comment, a great night out. Thanks to everyone for coming along. The organising was pretty minimal so I'm quite happy to do it!
