For the past couple of years there has been efforts to stop camping in the area we have camped for many years. Last yer there were no camping signs that we chose not to see. might i suggest that an alternative location be marked on the site map just in case we cant / dont camp there or you could all end up spread over the camping areas on the show ground.
Hope the pig supplied has been worked out exactly to the number attending with no more than a 5% excess working on a 75% second helping with all servings to be equal with in 2% subject to a spot check audit.
When I last looked in to it Blyton was around £3500 for a week day plus £800 for marshals. A weekend was £8000. It was concluded then that it was better for a group to book on to a javelin or equivalent track day
does show how strong some members feel about continuing to build the event. I cant really give an in biased view on this as I was responsible along with others for starting the event. I will admit that some of the things on posts in the past few days make me wonder if any of the current committee can work together. It would appear that we have not had a committee for much of the year and this is not down to one individual as I originally thought, please get your act together.
the venue was available for last weekend in September according to this thread, just not booked for some reason ( may be cost cutting ). Keith cant book with out committee approval.
plenty of time get weston on Trent booked. Last year is the first time it was booked so far in advance, previously it has been booked as late as end of May. The times it was booked late was normally due to committee not making decisions, larger the committee the longer it takes to get things agreed.
End of Season Bash!!!!!!!!! Not summer party. Thanks 5years of hard work down the drain. Bob Fry never liked the fact it didnt make money, is the club a money making machine of an organisation for like minded people run to bring them together as much as possible.
