I would like to know what committee has done in the last 12 month.

the venue was available for last weekend in September according to this thread, just not booked for some reason ( may be cost cutting ). Keith cant book with out committee approval.

plenty of time get weston on Trent booked. Last year is the first time it was booked so far in advance, previously it has been booked as late as end of May. The times it was booked late was normally due to committee not making decisions, larger the committee the longer it takes to get things agreed.

End of Season Bash!!!!!!!!! Not summer party. Thanks 5years of hard work down the drain. Bob Fry never liked the fact it didnt make money, is the club a money making machine of an organisation for like minded people run to bring them together as much as possible.

as much as I see your sentiments Nelmo this is a member who has a grievance and we should talk through things. Maybe the way forward is a rolling membership

No the club is run in line with a set of rules (the constitution) these rules can only be changed at an AGM or EGM the committee has to adhere to these rules. If you want to change things you need to be a member and request change at an AGM or EGM

Like I said if you want to change things in the club GET INVOLVED. You sound very passionate about things thats what the club needs. I stood down as i had lost some of the passion over the 6 years

If you want to shape the club in to the future join the club and stand for committee. I wont be standing I did my 6+ years so see both sides

if you are a non paying member what do you bring to the club?

All committee are voted on each year by the membership

I doubt it its hard to get volunteers, even harder if they know they will be working in a committee with so much friction. Having worked with someone of this committee prior to the current chairman, the fires of hell and promise of sure death would not get me to stand for a post and work in the committee with such friction.
