    Td5

Forgot to mention.... are you aware when bleeding the cooling system on the TD5 the expansion tank lifts out so you ensure its the highest point? There's also a bleed screw in the top hose.

Check the top hose with the engine running, if it's solid it points to the head gasket. This is a common problem with the TD5 where they fail and allow combustion pressure into the cooling system. Another clue is even though the engine is warm the heater will be cold. The pressure also stops the coolant from circulating properly hence the cold radiator.
  3. Most seat belt anchor bolts are 7/16th UNF high tensile.
  4. Not a phone scam but still a funny story... I remember my late Father-in-Law spending nigh on 2 hours chatting to a double glazing salesman who'd come around after making an appointment via telephone-sales cold calling. Once he'd chosen the frames / styles / handles / doors etc it came to signing the paper work.... My F-in-Law popped to the kitchen, returning with a Council Letter Head which he presented to the salesman explaining once they'd agreed to it work could commence! We we're crying when he told us the next day! :rogl:
  5. Holme Pierrepont near Nottingham Phil. They do private functions, 136 electric hook up pitches Inc for tents. On site permanent marquee with solid floor and fully equipped with disco lights and a stage set up specifically for live music etc. Toilet and shower block, separate ladies and gents. Just outside the marquee is a play area and a flat grass section for setting up inflatables with loads of external power points for these. Usually £20 per night all in, that's per unit, not per person. http://www.nwscnotts.com/nwsc/ACCOMMODATION_Camping
  6. I'll second that Dan, an absolute fantastic weekend. My very 1st RHOCaR event with one of my kids coming with me! Other than feeding time I didn't see her all weekend, that's definitely testament to how much she enjoyed it. A massive thanks to all who organise and especially Phil Shelton.
  7. From 1st light, bouncy castles for the kids, archery, socialising, relaxing and catching up with friends.
  8. It'll be fine, just turn up in the morning and all will be sorted. Safe trip
  9. Here and all set up, Phil and Ian & Carole just turned up. Beautiful blue skies and a nice cooling breeze. Please be careful driving in, there's a lot of tractors about. See ya all soon.
  10. Il help Simon, I'm a responsible adult!
  11. Just keep them away from Simon otherwise they'll be firing electron beams not sponge bullets!

  13. Here ya go, other finishes available.... http://www.discounthomelighting.co.uk/Varilight_XN93D_Satin_Chrome_3_Gang_10A_Rocker_Switch_(Twin_Plate)_Decorative_Rocker&currency=GBP&language=en?gclid=CN-Rv87iyccCFRK3GwodMCQKCA
  14. Plus one for listen to Tractor.... I only have 13 years in the composites trade so same as a tractor, only limited experience. P.s. chamfer the inner corner to aid the last plies transition from new to old. Furniture wax makes a good release agent to use on the localised mould you'll need to make. If you want advice on making a splash mould just ask.

  18. I'm drooling here.....
  19. They'll be a carbon fibre facing ply then black glass to bulk it up to thickness. To tell look at the edge of one and scratch it with your thumb nail. If it's glass you'll see white residue / dust.
  20. Welcome aboard, you've joined the right club thats for sure. Go easy in the V8 beast.... it bites! P.S.... look after that bloody engine!
  21. Dan, let's break new ground at DIY level.... I can model up in 3D Cad a bell housing to suit your chosen engine / box combo. We then get one 3D printed in plastic which in turn gets used to make a sand box to get one cast in Aluminium. Good knows on price mate but easily do able.
  22. I'd put good money on it definitely would. It would be too difficult to machine the bearing seats in the main housing if it was a single piece unit with the bell housing.
  23. Send a message to Steamer on here, he'll be able to make you some. They'll be machined from billett.
