My biggest interest is in Engineering, particularly machining and fabricating. Because of this I have started up RedSeven Automotive Engineering which carries out 1-off projects for customers ranging from suspension upgrade to supercharger installations – primarily for the kit car enthusiasts.
When I bought my Robinhood Exmo in 2003, it needed rebuilding which took approximately 12 months. Once on the road, it wasn’t long before more ‘tinkering’ began which has ultimately resulted in significant upgrades to the suspension and fitment the of a v8 engine.
The user name Steamer comes from the fact that I’m also involved in model engineering (steam locos and tractions engines). This what I have been brought up by my dad and I'm lucky enough to have been taught how to machine and weld from a very young age. In addition to the steam models, my dad and I are also involved with 2 full size steam traction engines, however in recent years (since becoming chairman of RHOCaR and starting RedSeven Engineering), I’ve had less involvement the full size engines than I use to.
