Run out to Wales Sat 14th September 2024

I'm planning a run out on Saturday 14th September. Destination to be decided but most likely to be either mid-Wales coast or North Wales, it depends on who's attending and where they're travelling from.

I plan a full day, so leaving Midlands before 9 and arrive back later afternoon.

I was thinking of the same, mid wales from Worcester maybe Devils Bridge then coast?

Put me down as hopeful, but I'm going to have to work on a pass-out for that, I'm out all day on the Sunday so some grovelling may be required for the Saturday as well

Based on the location of people that have expressed interest in coming, I think North Wales is going to be the most suitable destination. It also has been benefit that I'm not going to need to take a map with me.

Based on the run we did earlier this year, I think aiming to meet at the Ponderosa Cafe near Llangollen between 1030 and 1100 worked well to get us in to North Wales and then head out from there. Depending on what people want to do, and what time they need to head home, I can plan routes accordingly.

Generally I aim to have a stop of some sort every hour which is about as long as I can stand before I need to either have a wee or stretch my legs. A few of us will have the rev limiters on board so it's won't be a day of mad driving and obviously I don't encourage that sort of behaviour so don't worry if you think you would be able to keep up.

I won't be heading home as I plan to meet up afterwards with my brother, who'll be camping midway between Barmouth and Harlech, and stop the night.
