  1. Sorry Bob & Mo, can't make this one as we have a wedding to attend that week end.
  2. It's always nice to hear about good service Dan

    A Big Thankyou

Membership isn't about car snobbery or oneupmanship. It's about helping fellow minded chaps or chapesses if you can, (oh and the odd p155 take or 5). 'State of mind' has been mentioned, best £15 you can spend IMO
  4. Well they all made it safely to Dunkirk. It took them around 7 hours! Couldn't see them off today, but we will be at the Harbour on Monday to welcome them back. God bless them all. Paul, hat's off to your friend, he has little part of our heritage in his care, and with the dedication & pride the current owners of the Little Ships have, she'll be in good care.
  5. Ramsgate Royal harbour looked absolutely amazing this afternoon. It's full of the surviving brilliant Little Ships of the Dunkirk Evacuation (Operation Dynamo). They will be making the pilgrimmage to Dunkirk tomorrow and returning Sunday or Monday. It got quite misty for a little while, but a few deep breaths soon cleared the mist. Without these amazing vessels and their brave crews, many more lives would have been lost back in 1940 and history could be totally different. We owe them a great debt of gratitude and funds should be available to ensure they remain seaworthy and any in need of restoration should have funds allocated. Heritage Lottery Fund, where are you!! Let's hope they all have a safe and uneventful crossing

    Scamed

Peter, This sort of thing is getting all too common. My mate got scammed (cloned) the other week from a cashpoint at a local Tesco. At least your bank had the decency to refund quickly and block your card, as did my mates bank, the downside is waiting for the new one to arrive.

    Le Mans2015

Gents, just to remind you that the Dartford Crossing is free between 22.00 (10pm) & 06.00 (6am). If you pre-pay any Dartford fees, it'll cost £1.67 each way. If you don't pre-pay, the cost will be £2.50 each way, but you have until midnight the following day in which to pay. If you don't pay by then, they'll chase you for a £60 fine!! Also, speed cameras on the M25 all over the place (what's new), & averege cameras on the Crossing approach - speed 50mph!

    Iva Indicators

You will need to make (or they be supplied with the kit) indicator extensions to give the required separation. It might be worth posting for some ready made indicator extensions (someone may have a pair sitting in their garage unused). The link provided by Mark is really useful for lighting info.
  9. Hi Joe, how's things? CBS also do a mini wiper arm that has an internal screw clamp that fits over the spindle, all you see is a cross head screw. These: http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/stainless-steel-adjustable-right-park-wiper-arm If you look at grinding the Sierra spindle thread off the top, leaving the chamfer, would that work? You could also possibly laterally score the chamfered edge to give the clamp something to bite into. Just need to check your spindle size. I'll be down your way in a few weeks. Al
  10. It's always nice when things go well Nice result 150 at the wheels
  11. As well as the quality question asked by Ken above, our cars are lower than the normal tin top. The minimum height of the jack has to be considered, so preferably get one that is a low level jack. My original jack had a saddle height of approx 110mm, this wouldn't fit under the car front or rear without using a scissor jack first to gain an additional inch or so. Just something else to consider
  12. It's still black magic and witchcraft to me Simon. But it's good to know there are always more informed/knowledgable brains to call on if required.
  13. Well done Stephen, is this your next project?? http://www.bluelightuk.co.uk/product.asp?cat=1&id=1 :D I'll get me coat..............
  14. My speed & rev limter connections are via a 4 point harness with central fixing, located in a position to the left of the drivers seat. It also comes with an audible warning before a physical warning (slap!). The system is Wife mk1 and it's 100% foolproof!
  15. Never had any problem when dealing with CBS, always found them spot on and helpful.
  16. Look forward to the meet up, have a good holiday John & Liz
  17. Just seen this on the 'Bay: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item27fee7fb0c It doesn't have the pick up or splash tray by the look of it. It's in Ramsgate, so if you are successful bidding I can collect for you as it's collect only. You can then arrange RHOCaR pony express or pay for delivery. Al Edit: This is nowt to do with me.
  18. Pictures really do not do John's car justice, it is a lovely build. John, give me a call or e-mail when you are ready for the soundometer visit. Maybe even tie this in with a visit from Bob T so many hands to drink your tea Cheers Al
  19. Have braided ion mine as well. Got them from Rally Design, they are the Sierra Cosworth braided hose kit.
  20. Good load of pics Alan, thanks for posting. I don't know what stands out more on the aerial photos from the pig roast, my head glowing red or my shorts!! I see that they haven't posted any shots of when the drone lost uplink control and smashed into the hedge! It was a good pig roast though
  21. ETB are worth a look. They do various gauges with senders if required. The best thing is you can pick the phone and talk to them if you have a problem or just to discuss your requirements.
  22. Just yes to everything said already, top week-end and even caught the sun on both days to boot. Thanks again to all, best club around by far.
  23. Fab idea and a great cause - the Pimms went down very well indeed! Great weekend all round Al & Lana
  24. Well done Helen :clapping: If you need a pit stop on your way down Phil, just let us know
