  1. Your last chance to join us. I will be letting the Bell know that there are 17 / 19 of us for dinner. If you book after tomorrow (Wed 28th) then sitting with the rest of the group cannot be guaranteed.
  2. Sounds like a good couple of days, we will be there.
  3. You had better start out now if you are going to make it in time! https://goo.gl/maps/2eXbKvPthiD2 Looks like some holdups through Italy and France See you there.....
  4. I got my material from here. .. https://bags2cover.co.uk/product-category/fabric-sale/ Very happy with it, used the same material to cover my doors (write up in the last mag). Made up a frame to hold the material above my head, could have pulled it over the roll bar to the windscreen but it would have been touching me on the top of my head! Then got a local boat cover maker to put it together for me. He made patterns from what looked like an old sheet before starting with my material.
  5. I quote Peterborough’s fifth Classic and Vintage Vehicle Festival will take place on The Embankment on 1 and 2 September 2018. The event is growing with each year and in 2017 it attracted more than 500 vehicles and more than 3,000 visitors from all over the region and further afield. This is a fun filled weekend for all the family where there's plenty of variety on display for the enthusiast including cars, motorcycles, scooters, commercial vehicles, agricultural vehicles, buses and military vehicles. https://www.peterborough.gov.uk/residents/leisure-and-culture/classic-and-vintage-vehicle-show/ We have been for the last few years, its on the meadows not far from the river and the Nene Valley Railway.
  6. If you are going to Stoneleigh then there will be a supplier there who will have both. If not try Stafford Vehicle components http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/ I have just swapped my rear clusters for their LED ones with the carbon effect housing http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/product/led-rear-assembly-carbon-effect-housing--pair-/ Or Car builder solutions https://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/ Or Europa Spares https://www.europaspares.com/
  7. Thanks for the well wishes.
  8. Hi Neil, We will be sitting down about 2pm, last year we were all done by 3:30 as I remember. Will be good to see you. Cheers Derek
  9. I have the menu for the Bell Inn, they have asked me to supply a pre order, so can you choose your fayre and let me know your preferences please?
  10. Are there any more takers for this years run lunch. If there are no takers in the next couple of weeks I will have to cancel the tables I have reserved so the Bell is able to fill them.
  11. There is a tab cut out in the floor below the nose end of the gearbox in mine too, which allows greasing and when replacing the prop shaft. The nose end of the gearbox and the prop shaft is also accessible from the top in mine by removing the top cover.
  12. We tried our best too.....
  13. I have removed a section of the floor panel at the diff end. Undo the 4 bolts connecting the prop to the diff and the prop shaft slides forward then down and out.
  14. Marilyn & Derek will be there too.
  15. I used 6mm aluminum chequer plate the front and sides bent up and bolted to the front and sides of the plough ( that's the chassis rail that goes around the side and front of the sump). The plough has some spring in it so a hard impact would be absorbed slightly. Just a note ...... if you use bolts underneath they would need to be countersunk into the guard because the heads would wear off first.

I have posted this article a few times, perhaps you may find it useful.

    Project Valtezza

If my memory serves me well....... This chassis was very different to the 2B, the model before. The Hood had a roll bar around the windscreen and rear independent (wishbone?) suspension rather than using the beam axle from the Sierra. I have only seen 1 before as Andi has referred to. Interesting build, best of luck, hope it comes together for you.
  18. There are a number of different length input shafts available if you fancy delving into your internals! https://www.bearingkits.co.uk/1.6/1.8/2.0-TYPE-9-GEARBOX-INPUT-SHAFT-18-TEETH/156.htm
  19. Your wish is my command! TORNADO
  20. Out watching Tornado from a wet cold field. Wonderful!!!!
  21. My reply went yesterday, not as comprehensive as Richie's but I hope, along with replies from many others, we could just influence the proposal.
