  1. I've bought tickets as a member. You put the discount code in first before selecting your tickets and this then alters the prices of the tickets
  2. Monday 21st July Aug 7pm onwards Thorntree Pub 161 Church Street Waingroves Ripley DE59TE
  3. I have the alloy Davies Craig ep115 and the controller installed on my v8. Absolute fantastic peice of kit and never had any overheating problems. A couple of tips; 1) make sure the orientation of the pump is correct as failure to do so will result in air pockets accumulating in the pump resulting in decreased flow rates. 2) consider the extra 10amp+ loading on your alternator. For me, my alternator (at night time) is close to it's limits when the EWP + fan + headlights + fuel pump + everything else are all kicked in.

1lb of air in a compressed induction is whats needed for 10 bhp. there's a little gem of knowledge now locked away in my grey matter!

Hi lotusPaul, good info above. To add a slightly different angle onto what you've said - your maths for the increase in air are based on CFM and you've used a linear scale to work out how much extra CFM you need to generate boost - I don't think this is quite right. CFM is a measurement of volume, and as the air compresses within the intake system, it's density goes up and as such, I think your workings out should be looking at Mass Flow rates. Not claiming to be any kind of expert, just regurgitating the info picked over time.

mine was done cheap and right .......but I tend to make bits instead of buying them
  7. I suspect that the roll bar would be a swine to mill as it is hardened. Not impossible but not easy either.
  8. Definitely still on and weather looks nice as well
  9. It was a pretty good turn out last month so we'll roll the dice once again. Monday 17th July 7pm onwards Thorntree Pub 161 Church Street Waingroves Ripley DE59TE I've heard a rumour one of my supercharger project may be there in the flesh
  10. From my own experiences, Blacktops and ST170 are much easier to fit superchargers to than the silvertops. To be honest, I don't relish the thought of doing another silvertop charger because the brackets are a right PIA to make and also align with the pulleys. I've only ever had a passenger ride once in one of my supercharger projects - the acceleration was break-neck brutal and noise was out of this world.
  11. Just a thought as it might be easier than finding and changing alternators........a little 12v vac pump? Less than a £10 and will give enough suction to open up the bypass http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-12V-Micro-Piston-Vacuum-Pump-80Kpa-Mini-Pumping-Air-Pump-Experiment-Tool-Sale-/332157296574?epid=685323879&hash=item4d561e1fbe:g:vB0AAOSwbqpTtkFc
  12. The Milwaukee 18v impact driver is excellent. Far more torque than you'd ever need, but it is expensive. I think mine was £400, but it also came with a small 12v version as well which is good for anything up to m8, but doesn't have the guts for bigger stuff. Battery on both last well, and I've dropped them both quite a few times and they just bounce back. Mine came with 3 year warranty as well, which I had to use as they 12v charger stopped working.
  13. No worries mate, glad to have helped......members benefit
  14. Plusgas is a 100x better than wd40 for seized nuts - well worth a try imo
  15. Hi Chris, As others have said, you've got a really car there! Being in Bakewell, you're only down the road from me so if you have any problems etc.....I'm more than happy to pop over to lend a hand, or alternatively you're more than welcome to come over to me in Ripley.
  16. Are you sure mate? My machines have got these old fashion things called handles.....PMSL!!! X
  17. It's a long queue I'm afraid....and of course club members take priority, one of the many benefits this amazing club has to offer!

  19. That would be you mr. femster if you're still up for it?
  20. Well, angry grinder has been out to play and we've got there in the end. All that's left is a bit of cleaning and tinkering around the engine bay and she'll be ready for her trip back up north in a weeks time
  21. Gave her a quick boost test this morning. 10-11 psi from a fairly reliable gauge. Not going to be running her much now under boost until set up properly on a rolling road because you can get the fueling is a long way out and don't wan to risk going lean...
