I bought one recently as I needed to very slightly increase a flare on a new silence in my Zero for it to fit. In simple terms, I got nowhere with it! You need to be able to hold the pipes very firmly and need muscles the size of Popeye for it to work. I was unable to do either Perhaps I am just a wimp!!

Yes. Im meeting up with some other Zero owners at The Brewers Fayre, Castlewood, DE55 2DY, just off jnct 28, M1, Mansfield. Meeting at 10am then driving over to be there for about 10:30.

I suspect it was maybe commissioned as some sort of promotional vehicle for some obscure reason.

I paid £85 for a single track day with Morris. You can add track day cover to some insurance policies that will give you up to 5 a year, I think. I looked into it with A Plan, but my current underwriter doesnt do it and I didnt want the bother of changing for a single track day.

Will it fall back on for MOT ?

True Femi, but I have never made the effort before and I have the day off work on the Friday so have provisionally booked to stay locally the night before. I also need to return a silencer to them to adjust to make it fit so it kills 2 birds with 1 stone.

I enjoyed last year so have pencilled this in again, just need to confirm work commitments nearer the day.

I enjoyed it, but it was dumbed down for the entertainment value. Personally I think the whole show is ruined by that Tim chap blagging parts and discounts. I am sure the production company pays a fair rate for them, the rest is just to fill time. I would much rather see the restoration work.

Hi James, welcome to the club. I am sure there will be people along soon with other options but my understanding is there are 3 or 4 options and a lot depends on whether you are using carbs or injection. I think the cheapest is the Megasquirt but I think they may only be used with carbs, but I am prepared to be corrected. The next up is the Omex ECU and then the Emerald ECUs as supplied by GBS themselves. There are others, but my memory can't recall the names!! I ended up using the Emerald ECU as it was all plug and play.

As mentioned already, the price will just be included in a different way, possibly by a small price increase on goods. This then affects anyone paying by cash and cheque as well. On BBC news this morning, one commentator said that it the business gets hit whichever way you pay, but it may actually be cheaper to only accept cards than the extra cost of banking cash. She mentioned a few businesses in London already only accepting card payments and no cash to save on the extra hassle.

When I did mine, I created my own VIN, but this was 5 years ago. It may have changed now.

Andy I have no experience of this but I found a couple of threads on another forum. The bellhousing is slightly bigger than an MT75 so if you have an MT75 fitted you might be OK. If the car is built with reference to the manual, then I can't see any reason why it should not be possible to do this. There have been a few 2Bs that have gone through IVA this year.
