  3. Check out the forecast for Tuesday, 17 degrees don't miss out this could be our summer. Get those kits out!
  4. I agree, having just fitted some to a small removable aluminium panel on my dash you have to put quite a bit of pressure to 'crush' them. Great piece of kit though the panel is so much more accessible than with rivets!!
  5. I don’t think you can, the plastic would split when being inserted.

  7. The single connection one is from a base Sierra model without the bells and whistles.
  8. Tbh most of these bonnets were tweaked by the original builders around lampposts and trees to get a presentable fit, any reasonable sheet metal shop should sort it out especially as you’re not concerned about the mirror finish.
  9. Hi Kevin Got your registaration, and have sent all your detais. I guess this was the wrong forum as this is for any discussions on the latest magazine, but don't worry about it Cheers Al Richey (Membership Secretary)

  13. Have you seen this page? https://spiyda.com/Link/WIZARD.html It's probably 8 years ago since I did mine, no longer have the car & I think the design has changed, but contact Chris (sure that's his name) will be very helpful.
  14. I ordered the gauge matcher Phaeton recommended above wired in followed instructions (to the best of my ability) now just reads full all the time, I’m presuming there is more to setting this up than I first thought https://spiyda.com/fuel-gauge-wizard-mk3.html
  15. Hi , Can you use rivnuts on the plastic car body? Thanks Chris

  17. I love the orange, but I am biased
  18. Hi Nelmo, the powder coaters have now got the bonnet in Matt and if it had not been damaged it would be a fantastic job, I am going to try and get it straightened today at an engineers I know who have a press, worst case I think I’m going to have a hood scoop made to suit the full top covering the damage once most of the dent it removed. I will pop some pictures on later. It is better to have powder rather than paint but sadly the parts need blasting first to remove all the crap. The sad thing is the company I have used do a bloody great job, it’s just one of those things when damage occurs, makes it worse when the young lad who did it won’t take responsibility.
  19. You were going to powder coat stainless steel? Is that even possible? Or is that way to effectively paint it? Surely that can be straightened out? If not by them, they should pay for someone else to. Best bet is to call Kit Spares - they may be able to help.
  20. Hi All, I am reaching out on a limb here as probably the only part that nobody has knocking around spare but I need to ask. Does anyone have or know where I can get a Bonnet for a MK3A even if it’s a fibreglass version Basically the powder coating company near me has allowed an apprentice to prep my bonnet and he has managed to bend it. I am devastated given I have spent hours sorting build issues from the original builder, fitting upgrades, bodywork fabrication etc the list goes on. I literally dropped the bonnet last week and got the call today. The gutting thing is that I was hoping to have it ready for Malvern…. Many thanks in advance Paul
  21. Hi Jez, thank you for the advice, love the orange man
