  1. I really must read stuff before pitching in!
  2. Hi James, Have you checked if the plug lead is OK?
  3. Hi Sam's Dad, Welcome to the Forum. Most people with 2B's and the Coolman Rads opt to incline the rad. Not ideal but sufficient cooling can be obtained with suitable cowling fabricated in front of the rad so that as much air as possible gets channelled to the rad. Pictures tell a thousand words as they say. Take a look at my website. Here's a clicky. All the best...

    2b Diff Height

Hi GD, If I remember correctly, the rear of the diff is secured through a plate on the chassis. Therefore it's pretty well pre-determined for you once the rear de-dion/subframe is set. There's an indication on my website Clicky and it's covered in the Build Videos. HTH?

    Avatars

Mine's stolen , but I'll give it back of course if anyone asks me to.
  6. Boo Hoo. I can't make this Show Got Friends visting for that weekend as part of their Grand Tour. My fault, but it goes to show the importance of getting these dates out ASAP so we can get them all penned into our diaries. Roll on Newark!
  7. Hi Joel, I'll have: 05 – Screen wash jets PM to follow.

    Julian Assange

I heard on the radio the other day that Hans Solo hated Chewbacca in the Star Wars series of films.... Confirmed apparently also, in Wookieleaks. I'll get me coat.
  10. Yes please Steve, as long as it's not still snowing.
  11. Thanks for the offer Paul, but I'll take Mr Wilson up on his offer as he's nearby. No rush for it at all Steve. Let me know when I can pick it up and how many Beer Tokens you'll be wanting. Regards...
  12. Hi Haulie, Does this help: http://www.steveshood.com/03_06.htm ?? The filler pipe needs to enter the tank squarely, so you may have to do a bit of re-jigging to get it all lined up. I remember that the opening in the rear panel was slightly too large for the aerocap, so I had to fabricate a ring to fit around the cap in order to cover the hole that was left exposed. HTH...
  13. Hi All, After one of these if anyone's got one lying around somewhere???
  14. Hi, If it's anything like a Pinto (and it will be essentially the same), just get a piece of flat bar, drill a hole in each end, clamp the bar to the flywheel with a bolt through one of the holes and put a bolt through the hole on the other end of the bar into the block somewhere. This should serve to lock it all up.
  15. Hi Haulie, I can let you have the third video on DVD (or all four). Let me know and I'll sort something out for you no problems. Regards...
  16. Hi Steve, You have a PM Regards... Steve.
  17. Nice looking build. Well done - Your soooo nearly there. Nice Steering Wheel.
  18. Hi Steve,

    Newbie

"Robin Hoods are made from scaffold tubes, this is a Westfield" Yeah whatever. Obviously, I hope to God I never crash mine, but I sure as hell know that I'll be better off in my Hood if I do. See you at Stafford Keith & Welcome!
  20. Thanks all for a good day out. It was good to meet a few new (for me anyway) faces. I'm still rubbish at remembering everyone though! Decided to run a bit of that B Road myself on the way back, even though it was out of my way - I'm glad I did! See you all next time around.
  21. Hope to be there. If so, see you at noon.
  22. How about this then? http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=898305&mid=0&i=0&nmt=RE:%20V8%20Ariel%20Atom%20Gets%20900bhp%20Per%20Tonne&mid=0 Why don't the boxes stay within the window?
  23. Hi All, I had one that seemed to be worn but actually, I think it was rocking where the bolt went through the Stainless Steel. At this point it was the threaded part of the bolt that was rocking in the Statinless. So, the bush was fine. I fished out another bolt from somewhere that had a slightly shorter threaded length and all seems fine now. HTH
  24. OK. 2b Plus with 2.0L Pinto - PiperCross Air Filter - 32/36 Weber DGAV - Std Dizzy & Cam - 4 Branch Manifold - Wunoff Exhaust - 3.92 Diff - 205x50x15 Toyo T1Rs - weighing in at 765KG. Total Engine Mileage unknown, but seems well. Declared fit by Bogg Bros with 120BHP at the Flywheel (100BHP at the wheels). Nudged 105mph at the Nurburgring and I would say (although I've never acurately measured it) 0-60MPH circa 7 seconds. Standing quarter (Elvington Raceway) 15.99 Seconds. Keeps up with most stuff and fast enough for me - for the time being.
