  1. What engine and what are the lines doing? most reinforced hoses should be fine.
  2. Very impressive and you have the facilities, I think I would have cheated by cutting the cable and putting an extra lever in the system like below but yours is much cleaner, perhaps you need to sell a few to Jenvey!
  3. Assuming you have the standard carb arrangement yes, there is a little valve in the bit that plugs into the block so that the fumes only get sucked out when there is a vacuum in the manifold. You don't need a fancy catch tank, I use a bike drinks bottle with the cage, like many others.

    Where abouts are the marks. There are usually a couple of casting no’s along the length, look on the end face of the shaft opp end to the drive there may be some markings on it.
  8. Theres a Hood in Bedfordshire owned by a member on here, it looks very nice with the special noesecone that was made for them, have you got any panels for it? They have a long wheelbase in comparison with most 7s, the rad was fitted horizontally in the nose.
  9. The cable is probably shot do a search on here for the problems and re routing. Good news is you don’t need a speedo for a mot!

    I sent a cheque with the renewal form in the latest mag, not too hi tech.
  13. R6 is a hydraulic spec hose for low pressure mineral oil, might be ok ish for diesel, fine for coolant hose but a no no for modern petrols.
  14. Pressure won't show if you have poor flow from the pump unless you run the engine at the same time. I still think you may have a partial blockage somewhere. Is it possible to run it from a small jury rigged fuel can instead of the tank?
  15. Can you find discs with a different offset? Probably have to redrill the stud holes though.
  16. Its quite simple on a monocoque to cut a hole in the scuttle so you pull the cam out of the engine, then fit a removeable cover over it.
  17. If after changing the filter it still struggles it might be stuff in the tank floating about and blocking the fuel feed. Its tricky to seal the fuel gauge assy and sometimes people use silicon which swells massively in fuel. As previously said check the basics before spending money.

    That looks like a modification done by Dave Andrews using Capri shock absorbers. Look at this web site http://www.dvandrews.co.uk/and look at the drawing of shock absorber mounting brackets.
  20. If you can still get the proper ford ones they will most likely last another 30 years, the poly ones won't.

    If it's a long shock sort of leaning backwards it is the standard saloon fitting. The one in the previous post is the estate version.
