RIP Ivan. He would just turn up out of the blue and mingle. Lovely car, lovely bloke. Thoughts are with his family. Andi
  2. I missed that... What happened?
  3. http://www.kitfest.co.uk/Home.aspx I personally cant make this, but it should be a fantastic event Andi
  4. Nice one Alan.. A very warm welcome to you all, both old and new. The forum runs primarily on questions and answers so please go ahead and ask (or answer). There is nothing to small or too big to ask. No one was born with a spanner in their mouth (well, maybe Richy and Tractor was) so everybody has to learn. Andi
  5. If your only 10 miles away Leslie, then this event is a must. Just introduce yourself and find out where any of the committee are and they`ll make sure you get to meet everyone.
  6. Damn damn damn, just found out we are in / just coming back from Greece. This is a cracking event folks, and you will be properly looked after by Craig and co.
  7. Really good to have you aboard guys. And remember, this is an ask a question forum, no matter how small or big. Someone will have great joy in answering. Also keep an eye out for community events in your area and nationally. Welcome Andi
  8. Hi Simon, Bloody lucky there mate. Good to have you back. Andi

RIP Bob, I`m sure he will find a happy workshop up there. Thought are with his family and particularly Sylv.. You both always made me very welcome. Andi
  13. Yes, a very warm welcome to you guys. Do not forget to ask questions, no matter how big or small. This keeps the forum on its toes and there`s no point in trying to reinvent the wheel. I know Stoneleigh is not on everybody's door step, but if you can make it, please do as its one of the best shows of the year, and it would be great to meet you all. Andi
  14. I know mate. Greens have been my saviour on a number of occasions. But I found an alternator shop near me in a village. Strange but true. They also had one in stock with a long guarantee. And they swapped the pulley over too. So, a happy man I am.
  15. Well it lasted 11 years. So not too bad. However I found the tension bracket snapped too. That's 2 brackets snapped. Not even near the welds. Not quality metals that's for sure
  16. Does anyone have an alternator that fits an early Zetec Zero? Mine has given up. The alternator is a 110620 alternator hc cargo. But it looks different to most that are on Google. Cheers Andi

    Petrol saving

Hmm, I drive a lot for work.. But my expenses stay the same. Been looking at 50cc mopeds AGAIN
  18. Welcome back mate. Never a dull moment from now on
  19. Some folk jack all the wheels of the floor. I put mine on wheeled dolleys that are curved which seems to work plus you can move the parked car easily around the garage when it's in the way. Andi
  20. I had vibration at high speeds once. It was a flat spot on the tyre after leaving it garaged for a few months over winter. Does sound like it could be your prop though. But to rule out the tyres, Jack your car wheels up a couple of my ml of the floor and spin them. You'll see an out of shape tyre quite easily. Andi
