  2. Sadly, the time has come to part with my kit car - full details in the eBay listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176393840355?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=JCyq5FiWQmK&sssrc=2051273&ssuid=JCyq5FiWQmK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=EMAIL
  3. Last week
  4. Thanks everyone! That little 50amp one looks like a good bet. Fabricating a bracket should be fine.
  5. And, I’m up in Doncaster. i have a silvertop block with cosworth pistons and steel rods from a turbo set up. I also have a set of Kent 2002 cams plus heads and ancillaries. Let me know if any interest. Cheers Craig
  6. Brilliant, thank you all for all the useful information! much appreciated!!!
  7. I agree, the Haynes manuals for the Sierra helps for Pinto, and also for all the other bits that come from a Sierra donor used in RHE and other kit cars. The most detailed one is the "Owners Workshop Manual" ISBN 1 85010 538 3 (1982 to June 1989) .... but hard to find. The other one is the "Service and Repair Manual" ISBN 1 85960 090 5 (1982 to 1993 K reg) easier to find. Here is a link to a copy for a fiver. https://www.gumtree.com/p/books/haynes-manual-ford-sierra-82-93/1479713537
  8. If you can get hold of an early version of the Haynes manual for the Sierra it will give you lots of information on the Pinto engine. The later versions of the manual have less info. and more "take it to the dealer". You can usually find them on eBay for a few quid.
  9. The sensor in the picture is screwed into the threaded hole that is usually used to drain the coolant from the engine. So it normally has a simple blind threaded bolt head showing. Looking at the PTFE tape that appears to be in two places on the "sensor" I'd guess that an adapter has been used to reduce the hole diameter to the size needed to fix a water temperature sensor, probably for a gauge. Before you ask, the other blind bolt head that is in the photo lower down on the crank case is sealing the hole that is used on some (high spec) models to mount a sensor for a low oil level warning light. I dont know of any drawing for all the sensors. The sensor for coolant temperature is on the other side of the block, just above the disributor, and the oil pressure sensor is also on this side lower down not far from the starter motor. If you have a standard carb inlet manifold (I don't think you have) then depending on the ignition control module there is another coolant temperature sensor on the manifold.
  10. My Pinto 2.0 engine has a sensor right underneath exhaust port 4 and there is no wire going to it. Does anyone know which sensor it is so I can correctly re-wire it? Also, is there a drawing of all the sensors and their locations around the block?
  11. Thank you guys, I had looked on there & couldn't see them, I'll go measure tomorrow
  12. Hi Simon, We are booked into the garden room which is now full, so I would suggest you book it with them directly and raise the point regarding the Vegan options. Kerry & Sharon
  13. Hi GIWRS, Thinking of changing my S7 seats & have the same ‘narrow’ problem you asked about last year. How did you get on or did you opt for narrower seats eventually? Regards, Bob
  14. I'm looking for a 2L Zetec Silvertop engine if anyone is selling one? Preferably in Kent, but will travel for right engine. Thanks, Andy
  15. Mary & I keen to join the dinner on Friday. WIll probably have the dog with us, so a table in the bar needed as dogs not allowed in the restaurant section. If you do talk to them, please encourage more than one vegan option as the sample menu is very sparse compared to The Dirty Duck. Cheers Simon
  16. Next Wednesday 29th, 6pm onwards, Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL. Generally they're trying to kick us out just after 930pm so if you're coming, don't leave it too late. Also, if you want to eat, book beforehand as they don't normally let people just rock up and eat. Entrance to the pub car park is off the A452 Chester Road heading North 50 yards from the island. Everyone welcome. See you there.
  17. That’s great! thanks for the info on that. I might give them a go and see how they get on! Cheers
  18. Most 2Bs had (or ended up with) coil overs on the rear. GBS still do the adapters that go in the bottom of the roll bar tube and Gaz coil-overs. https://kitspares.co.uk/collections/all/products/copy-of-robin-hood-front-wing-bracket-et35-os https://kitspares.co.uk/collections/all/products/2b-shock-absorber-set#description A few years ago I contacted them and they were happy to sell me just the rear pair of coil-overs when one of mine had sprung a leak. I don't know if they would still do that.
  19. As per Bob, is this what you're looking for? https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/sierra-master-cylinder-brass-remote-reservoir-adapter
  20. Unless I am mistaken that is a zimeride (did I spell that right?) which were a robin hood modification of shock fitted to rubber suspension minis (British Leyland version not BMW version) Why there is a double spring fitted I dont know but it appears strange. As for sliding pillar I understand that they were stripped out of the doner front struts, I think that there are Utube 2B build videos showing how to do this allong with all the rest of the build. Richard S certainly did everything he could to keep build costs down. Ian
  21. I might be wrong but I don't think that is a sliding pillar setup. sorry jumped the gun a bit didn't read the post correctly.
  22. Have a look at CBS Car Builder Solutions they sell remote kits.
  23. As part of the GBS Remote Brake Reservoir Kit they sell push on Outlets, https://kitspares.co.uk/collections/all/products/remote-brake-reservoir-kit these are the only parts I need do anybody if anybody sells them separately
  24. Have you tried Kit Spares/GBS? Pretty sure they still sell the proper panels for a 2B?
  25. Agree with Woolies, as they are quite near me (and you, Market Deeping) Also both of them will almost certainly have a stand at Malvern Kit Car Show on 1/2nd Jun All the trim on my car just clips onto the sharp edge and doesn't need any adhesive.
